Weekly Report from the Board Meeting at Holman Prison

Some of the topics up for discussion were the resentencing of Bobby Tarver, the grant received from RESIST and the many reactions received from supporters to both these pieces of news and to our newsletter. It is good for all of us to know that there is a great, big world out there which hears us.

Weekly Report from the Board Meeting at Holman Prison

Today seemed to be a day where there was nothing but positive news to share. It ranged from donations received from generous friends, some of them from overseas, to the arrival of the hard copy of our newsletter at Holman.

Weekly Report from the Board Meeting at Holman Prison

As this was the first Board meeting since the election, the outcome of the vote to abolish the death penalty in CA was of course discussed. It goes without saying that we had hoped that abolition votes would win, still we were encouraged that the loss was not overwhelming. We know that our friends in CA will persevere.
