I have requested the bill repealing Capital Punishment in Alabama be set by the Senate Judiciary Committee. They have failed to set the bill for committee consideration. We are still hoping that it will be set for public hearing providing you the opportunity to come voice your support. We continue to push.

Th...e committee has set the bill prohibiting Judges for over ruling jury verdicts in capital cases. It's set for April 25, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. This is not a public hearing. This is just for informational purposes.
