Great news from our friends of Alabama Arise and we quote: “This year, for Giving Tuesday, Alabama Arise is highlighting a few of our member groups that are key partners on our member-chosen priorities. We plan to include Project Hope to Abolish the Death Penalty, specifically around our partnership on death penalty reform, and direct people to your giving page.” We are so grateful and cannot say thank you enough!
Some good news for 2025:” Creative Placemaking and Leadership Conference by South Arts is coming to AL next year and it is a huge art gathering for industry artists interested in social change. I wanted to see if as part of the conference I could support a collaborative art project or something to support the work of PHADP and it's partners.” Our thanks for contacting us and to Advisory Board Member Dr. Katie Owens-Murphy for helping to make it happen!
Mary’s House in Birmingham is hosting a Day of Reflection: Staying the Course in Opposing the Death Penalty, Saturday, December 7th, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. To register email: [email protected].
And finally but certainly not least with our thanks to Kat Stromquist of Gulf States Newsroom: Alabama's 2nd nitrogen gas execution raises questions about method's future use - WBHM
We thank all who are working so hard and diligently to stop all killing in Alabama! And as always in closing, we thank all our generous donors who either gave by going to our website and using the “donate” button or who gave directly. Thank you also to all who took the time to read our notes, commented, liked and shared them on Facebook. Stay safe and be kind to each other!
