Weekly Report from the Board Meeting at Holman Prison 12.24.25

Today is Christmas Eve for those of us who celebrate Christmas and so we are not having a Board meeting but our Christmas party for our members. There will be cooking, merry making and gratitude that we are family. We wish you could join us and celebrate with us the reason for the season!

There is some good news which is that last week we started to receive copies of the mail you sent us. We thank all who were and are in touch!

We are trying to keep away from news today but we do need to mention that: “Alabama 2nd in nation for executions in 2025, according to report “an article in the Reflector. “The Death Penalty Information Center found that executions were limited to a handful of states, while support for capital punishment continues to decline.”

Thank you to Rep. Chris England who filed 2 great bills! One to abolish the death penalty and the other to make jury override retroactive!

Thank you to all who brought Christmas to us here at Holman! You certainly brought us the joy of the season and we are grateful and wish all of you the peace, joy and love of the season!

We thank all who are working so hard and diligently to stop all killing in Alabama! And as always in closing, we thank all our generous donors who either gave by going to our website and using the “donate” button or who gave directly. Thank you also to all who took the time to read our notes, commented, liked and shared them on Facebook. Stay safe and be kind to each other!
