For us this week the expected news that supersedes all other news is that Governor Ivey has set October 23rd as the execution date for our

The good news last week was that as the mental evaluation and competency test ordered by the court for David Roberts was delayed there will be no execution tomorrow. At this point as there is no permanent stay the Talking Points and contact for Governor Ivey can still be found at https://www.phadp.org/execution-alert-6/. His clemency site has been updated with some ways we can all support efforts around him! We have submitted our designated voter list for the annual Alabama Arise meeting Sep 27, 2025 where priority issues are chosen for the next year.
