Our partners at Death Penalty Action are planning an open event at the School of Social Work of the University of Alabama. Psychology and Criminal Justice students will also be invited. Nothing can be more important than reaching out to students, our hope for the future. We thank Tish Warr Ph.D. Candidate, School of Social Work at the University of Alabama for making the connection! We will be sending out a flyer with the particulars very shortly under the heading: "I'll Pull The Switch: Will You?"  A Dialog About Alabama's Death Penalty.

On Sunday we shared ORGANIZING EXECUTION OPPOSITION IN ALABAMA-NEXT GAS EXECUTION-ALABAMA from our friends Death Penalty Action who will be with us for a whole week of action. I hope many will take advantage of this unique opportunity to organize and invite the speakers to their churches, universities etc.

On Wednesday 25th September at noon, the day before the next execution, we will rally at the Capitol to deliver the petitions to the Governor. We hope you will join us!

WBHM.Org featured an in depth article complete with pictures of the traveling death row art collection. “An art exhibit reckons with Alabama’s death penalty toll”. We are so grateful to all who made this happen! And next Saturday they will be giving an artist talk at Lowe Mill at 5 pm, where they will be joined by Chris Brown and Melissa Julia from the Toforest Johnson campaign. Our thanks to Advisory Board Member Dr. Katie Owens Murphy!

We thank all who are working so hard and diligently to stop all killing in Alabama! And as always in closing, we thank all our generous donors who either gave by going to our website and using the “donate” button or who gave directly. Thank you also to all who took the time to read our notes, commented, liked and shared them on Facebook. Stay safe and be kind to each other!
