“Eight Alabama inmates sue over state’s nitrogen execution method” is an important article by Ivana Hrynkiw! All of the lawsuits were filed separately and we quote from one: “Death by nitrogen hypoxia is not akin to peacefully going to sleep. It is instead painful suffocation.”“The five executions in Alabama to date show that the State of Alabama was wrong.”
A petition was created to make the law forbidding judicial override retroactive. It affects 29 individuals on Alabama’s death row https://chng.it/hHnYWdjt4k and for several years now a bill was introduced but did not make it out of committee.
