Weekly Report from the Board Meeting at Holman Prison, 12.2.2015

We are very sorry to have to report that Christopher Brooks was called to the Warden’s office and given a January 21st execution date. "This action is premature," wrote John Palombi in an email. Palombi is an assistant federal defender for the Middle District of Alabama who represents Brooks. As the midazolam hearing before Judge Watkins takes place this week it is good to keep the words of Attorney Palombi of the Federal Defenders in mind that “nothing will be decided this week.”
