Last Friday there was a press conference” ADVOCACY GROUPS CALL FOR HALT TO EXECUTION” which highlighted the news that “Spiritual Advisor Publishes "The Casey McWhorter Tapes." Yes, we are all more than the worst thing we have ever done and these tapes, now in book form, certainly bring that message home. Once more we say thank you to Death Penalty Action for standing with us and organizing the press conference! The headline of the article from the press conference published by WHNT.COM is “Alabama Death Row inmate “at peace” three weeks before execution. Our thanks to Casey’s spiritual advisor the Rev. Jeff Hood.
We heard from Minister Cynthia Carter of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Birmingham and the parishioners who would like to support prisoners on Death Row.” Please let your Board know that we are adding a line to the Sunday prayers at St. Andrew's "for all prisoners on death row in Alabama" with special intentions for those with an execution date set. This Sunday we will add Casey McWhorter's name. We are also asking parishioners to write Governor Ivey.” Thank you from all of us!
